Mascara Monday: Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Frame Plus Mascara

 

Mascara Monday is back!!! Yay!!
Today I want to review the Lash Expander Frame Plus from Majolica Majorca, which is a very popular Japanese mascara.

It has a very cute and tiny packaging that contains 6g of product. ( In comparison, Revlon Lash Potion mascara has 10g).

This mascara has a flat rubber brush that's very unique in shape. You can use either side of the brush but I tend to reach for the longer bristles. It looks completely flat from the side, which makes the brush sort of like a comb.

It is waterproof so it is supposed to keep lashes curled.

Ratings:

• Formula & Application: 9/10

 Despite the weird wand, it is actually very easy to apply product onto the lashes. All you have to do is use the bristles to comb through each lash. The tiny tip could be used to pull out outer lashes. Formula wise, it definitely has a lot of fiber, but the formula still feels smooth. I took one point off because it clumps a tiny little bit at the root of my lashes, but it is fixable by combing through the lashes a few more times.

What's more, this mascara does not irritate my sensitive eyes even though it is a waterproof mascara with fibers.

• Lengthening: 10/10

This mascara is crazily lengthening after two coats, and my lashes still looks separated and natural.

• Volumizing: 8/10

  It is decently volumizing, but nothing dramatic. Definitely less volumizing than Maybelline the Falsies Mascara.

• Holds Curl: 10/10

 It seriously holds the curl! And yet my lashes still feel soft. It holds a much better curl than Revlon Lash Potion Waterproof Mascara .

• Staying Power: 9/10

It is truly waterproof and does very little flaking or smudging on me. Almost on the same level with DUP Perfect Long Extension Mascara.

• Easiness to Remove: 7/10

Really really hard to remove. Takes quite a lot of rubbing even with my Neotrogena Eye Makeup Remover. 

Overall Rating: 9/10
In general speaking, this is a really nice mascara. I was on the fence about it just because so many people  rave about it.. But in fact, it is truly nice. It lengthens my lahses like crazy and it holds the curl so so well. Even after a long day, my lashes are still sky high ( well of course you have to curl you lashes before you apply mascara). More importantly, my lashes still feels soft. Although Maybelline the Falsies Waterproof Mascara holds curl perfectly as well, but it does make my lashes feel super stiff.

Yes for everyone who does not mind taking extra time to remove this mascara.

Before & After:
As you can see, one coat delivers very natural effect, and two coats give a much more defined and yet natural look. I really love the effect this mascara gives.
