Urban Decay Naked 1 Palette vs TheBalm Nude 'Tude Palette

Hello there! 
As we all know, Urban Decay Naked Palette has been raved ever sinced it was launched.
I would say that it is totally worth the hype because I literally used every single color in this palette to create natural everyday looks, and that happens very rarely.

However, Naked 1 has its enemy now, and it is the Nude 'Tude palette from TheBalm.

In this blog post I will compare these two palette from its price, texture to shades.

The Balm Nude Tude Palette review and application ideas

This is my secret garden to show you the stuff I like.

Today I'm reviewing Nude Tude palette by the Balm.
Upfront, I like it a lot.
Now, I have asian monolids that makes putting makeup such a pain (if you are a monolider, you know what I mean)..Everytime you put on a ton of product on your eyelids and then you open your eyes, nothing shows up..
So I've been stuggling with my eyeshape a lot until I start watching makeup tutorials on youtube and try it on myself.
SHOUT OUT to girls with monolids like me. BE CONFIDENT and keep trying till you find the way that suits you the best.

OK back to business,
I got this palette from Hautelook.com for 20 something bucks,
and I think it's a great buy.
The texture of the eyeshadows is cery creamy, matte shades could be a little less creamy but is very pigmented.
Every color could be used in everyday life.
Overall, this is a good nude palette.

Here are the closed looks,

 Packaging is very sleek and is made of cardboards, which makes it easy to travel with.

 Sassy: frosty white, creamy and pigmented, good inner corner highlight, might be too frosty for brow bone highlight
Snobby: light gold, leans more yellow, creamy and pigmented. Honestly I dont really use it but I think it'll make a bold allover lid color.

 Stubborn: cute peachy pink, great texture, pink generally makes my monolid puffy, but this one is okay for browbone highlight.
Stand-offish: glittery pink. Consistent formula. Pretty color.

 Selfish: gorgeous frosty taupy greyish color (not good at discribing color..sorry..）This is lighter and greyer than satin taupe from MAC. It looks great used as an allover lid color and contour with "silly".
Sultry: Nice and versatile brownish taupe. My favorite color in this palette. Perfect for natural contour shape. You can use it to fill in eyebrows and contour nose too. It is less warm than buck from urban decay naked palette but serves the same function.

 Sophisticated: Medium glittery brownish color. Good for allover the lid and no contour. I use a brown liner or shadow stick starting from my lashline and draw a very thick line and then smudge it until I can see the color when I open my eyes, and then I top the liner with this color. Gives a fresh and defined look.
Seductive: Dark rich gold. As the name suggests, this is a super sexy and seductive gold. Color is so saturated that one swipe you get the sexiness. I can imagine wearing this and a bold red lip. HOT HOT HOT!

 Sexy: Matte plum. Less creamy but super pigmented. Dont get scared at this color. It is actually very wearable. I used the same way to apply this as sophisticated. It gives a natural smoky look. Perfect for fall and winter.
Silly: Shimmery plum. Gorgeous contour color. Very pretty when used with selfish.

 Serious: Matte black. Super pigmented. But has a little bit fall out. Mush have basic.COuld be used as a liner.

Sleek: Matte brown. A tiny little bit chalky compared to most shadows in this palette, but definitely workable. Good liner and contour.

line 2: selfish, snobbish, silly
line 3: stubborn, serious, seductive
line 4: Sassy, sexy, sultry

The palette also comes with a handy brush and honestly it is quite steady.


In conclusion, this is a great product and I recommande you try it out if you like natural looks. And how cute are the names of the shadows lol! While I do think there could be more highlight shade and less pinks..That's just my preference.=]
