Mascara Monday: Benefit They Are Real Mascara

So I got this Benefit They Are Real Mascara in deluxe sample size at Sephora one day.
And I heard so many raves about it that I really want to give it a try.

 However in my humble opinions, it does not work good on me.
The brush is quite interesting.
It has rubber bristles and sort of a weird spiky tip.
The tip carries way too much product so I have to wipe it off every time I pull out the brush.

Pros:

• Lengthens and thickens my lashes.
• Nice formula. It dries on my lashes very quickly and my lashes feel soft.
• The tip works pretty well when pulling out the lashes on my outer corner

Cons:

• Does NOT hold curls even though it is water resistant.
• Smudges after 6-7 hours on me.
• I need to go over my lashes many times to achieve the desired effect.
• Although it is not waterproof, it feels like a waterproof one when I remove it, in that it is very hard to take off.

Before & After:

It does define my eyes a little bit, but since it does not hold curls very well, my lashes are still not that visible...

Overall:
I will not buy the full size one because it just doesn't really work on me.
I know that many people love this mascara, and if it works for you, that's great.
As a girl who has quite heavy monolids, I am extremely picky about mascara.
So for me, this is definitely more like a meh product...
But anyway, Sephora is giving it as free birthday gifts for their beauty insiders this year, try it out if you are in doubt.
