I have an exciting product to share with you!
Tah-dah! It is the Laneige BB Cushion!
I got the shade in No. 21 Natural Beige.
They also have two fairer shades and one darker shade.
We all know that Korean foundations and bb/cc creams tend to have a small selection of shades, and most of the shades are actually very fair.
The Laneige BB cushion has a slightly wider range.
The darkest shade in No. 23 fit me just right in summer (NC30-NC35).
In other words, this products suit skintone that are below or around NC35.
I got this Cushion BB cream in Seoul, and it retails for around 30USD.
You can easily get it anywhere in Korea, including Incheon airport and Ginpo airport.
And Hong Kong carries this product too.
If you live near those areas, definitely go check it out.
Other than that, you might need to do a little bit research online.
But if the mark up is way too high, for example I've seen it on some website for $50, I really don't think it is worth it because afterall, there are many cushion bb/cc creams in the market right now.
The product contains 15g/ 0.5 oz, and it comes with a refill as well.
This bb cream has SPF 50/ PA+++, so it provides a very good everyday sun protection.
When you open it, you will see a sponge soaked with bb cream at the bottom, you press the puff into the sponge, and you will get BB creams onto the puff.
The actual BB cream feels light and liquidy.
And it feels slightly cooling on the skin, nothing irritating though.
Pros:
- Convenient to use.
- Provide enough sun protection.
- Evens out the skintone, and gives a semi-matte finish.
- Looks natural if applied with light hands.
- Smells nice and fresh, but the scent does not linger.
- Does not clog pores and break me out like some Korean BB creams do.
- My face get oily after 3-4 hours. ( I have combination skin)
- Lasting power is not so good, it disappears on me at the end of the day.
- If I pack the BB cream on, I would look like a pale ghost. (Probably because No.21 is slightly lighter than my skintone, but No.23 is a bit too dark)
- Due to the high SPF, it leaves a white cast when taking pictures with flash lights.
The effect is natural and coverage is pretty light.
It evens out redness and hyperpigmentation.
But it cannot completely cover sun spots and freckles.
I love how convenient it is.
I spent a lot less time on my face makeup in the morning.
But on my combination skin, the lasting power is quite poor, and I am too lazy to touch up.
Overall, I really like it.
But I probably won't repurchase it.
If you have drier skin and you can find the shades match you perfectly, I recommend you give it a try.
