Mascara Monday: Maybelline the Falsies Volum Express Waterproof Mascara

Hello hello!
It is Monday again, which means I will be posting a review about a tube of mascara. How exciting is that huh?

Okay let's get started.
Today I am sharing my opinions about one of my favorite mascara: Maybelline the Falsies!
I got the shade in black drama and it is basically a black with more matte finish.
And this products claims to "lift and separate lashes" and also "instantly build up volume for the false lash look".

Pros:
  • Significantly lifted my lashes and hold the curl all day.
  • Adds volume and decent length in just one coat.
  • The extreme black color makes my lashes very visible.
Cons:
  • Formula is on the drier side. It makes my lashes feel stiff, and the product dry out quickly.
  • Smudged after 5 hours on me (but considering 80% of the mascara smudges on me, I wouldn't blame it).
  • Hard to remove. Harder than my Fairy Drops Volume Blast waterproof mascara. It takes me a while using the neotrogena oil-free eye makeup remover.
Before & After:
See how big a difference a good mascara that holds the curl made?

Conclusion:
As you can see, this mascara is not perfect.
But I still love it because for a $6 drugstore mascara, it performs just like a high-end one. It curls and adds volume in exactly one coat. I can just put one coat on, top it with my dejavu fiberwig(which never smudge on me) and I am good to go, and my eyes would look wide open and more awake.

I definitely would repurchase it when I run out. It is a amazing mascara that I think every girl should try. Especially if you have asian straight lashes that are pushed down by monolids like mine!!

I like this mascara so much that I may even purchase the non waterproof one and see how that one works because after all, although waterproof mascaras works the best for monolids as they hold the curl better, I do get lazy sometimes and it would be great if I can just use my face wash and remove all the makeup.
